Margaret Baird, BVMS

Dr. Baird studied veterinary medicine at the University of Glasgow in Scotland and earned her BVMS degree. She has been with Merrifield Animal Hospital since February 2017, having previously worked at a busy small animal practice in Stafford County, as well as in Scotland. She is a native New Englander and proud graduate of the University of Connecticut (go Huskies!)

Dr. Baird particularly enjoys all aspects of feline medicine and has a special interest in complementary therapies, including animal acupuncture. She is a member of the American Association of Feline Practitioners, the Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association, and the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons. As a USDA-accredited veterinarian, she can also issue official health certificates for domestic and international pet travel.

In her spare time, Dr. Baird volunteers with the Humane Rescue Alliance's feral cat spay/neuter program in DC.
